The secret to being more assertive is to take action based on how you feel and what your gut instincts tell you. I’ve noticed that many people start to lose weight or get healthier just by trying something they were afraid of or by sharing feelings they’ve held back. When individuals who are underweight learn to be more assertive, they often start to feel more comfortable in their own skin.
